Re: American Mall Implosion Continues except for one store??
And this has tremendous negative implications for retail Real Estate in middle America: other than high-end destination shopping areas -- like Cape Cod, Laguana Beach, various Beach areas around the country -- thousands of strip Malls and Shopping Malls are dead, dead!
Why?
Simple really as following article reveals: People aren't going in a Mall to look aimlessly in an unorganized spree of spending money on consumer, non-durable, discretionary superfluous junk anymore.
It's that simple:
Namely, they are cruising, looking or shopping on line!
Retail Stores are dead!
And this retail phenomena in America since 2008/09 fits neatly into the contracting nature of the Super Kondratieff Super Tsunami 300 Year Cycle!
Get ready the next downstroke of the Kondratieff in 202_ * is going to be a real DOOZY!

"There is only one reason Abigail Burt goes to the mall anymore: to smell the candles at Bath & Body Works.
"The
21-year-old college student stops in each month, whether she has
spending money or not, then makes a beeline for the exit, bypassing
every other store. ... ...
(You'll have to go to the article on above link to read a very worthwile read on the Mall implosion and why!)

"Serafini,
meanwhile, goes to Bath & Body Works twice a year — and breezes
past just about every other store at the local mall in central
Massachusetts. He and his family, he said, buy nearly everything else
online.
“I can’t think of another company I’ve shopped at for 20 years,” he said.

* I've had the upcoming year of the 3rd and final contraction of the Super Kondratieff 300 Year Tsunami pegged ever since 2009 and have hinted at it several times in more than a couple of the many Blogs still up, i.e. I was forced to delete over 125 Blogs due to insane PTB pressure back in 2014 and to stop the survey spider bots from repeatedly slamming this Blog!
